When you call or text the hotline, you will be connected to a trained and caring counselor or peer who understands your concerns. Many of the team members have lived experience and can relate to what you are going through.

Dan D., LMFT, Clinical Program Manager

Dan D., LMFT has been with Sacramento Children's Home since 2022. He brings experience across a range of child and family-serving systems, including adoption and foster family agencies, STRTPs (Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Programs), county mental health crisis programs, and residential care settings. As the Clinical Program Manager for the Family Urgent Response System, he oversees all clinical and administrative day-to-day operations to ensure quality service delivery, compliance, and effective program implementation.

Ben A., MHRS, Urgent Response Supervisor II

Ben A., MHRS has been with Sacramento Children's Home since 2024. He has 22 years of experience in the behavioral and mental health field. In his role as Assistant Administrator for a couple of STRTPs prior to his transition to SCH, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations, ensuring staff adhered to all agency policies, state regulations were followed, and clients’ wellbeing and safety were not compromised. As an Urgent Response Supervisor II, he oversees first shift. His responsibilities include sharing feedback from call reviews with call center staff, ensuring compliance and that reportable incidents are completed in a timely manner, and working closely and collaboratively with the Leadership Team to achieve short-term and long-term goals set by the Program Manager, as well as meeting agency expectations.

Liliana M., Urgent Response Coordinator

Liliana M. is an Urgent Response Coordinator with the Family Urgent Response System and has been a part of the team since 2024. Before joining the team, she worked in community mental health with adults in Sacramento and Yolo County. She is currently in school to become a licensed therapist and hopes to continue supporting her community throughout her career. As a first-shift Urgent Response Coordinator, she remains ready to answer the 24/7 crisis line, providing phone support and responding in person when needed. She assesses safety and risk, offers emotional support, provides callers with resources, and connects them to their county’s Mobile Response team. She also fulfills her responsibilities as a mandated reporter and provides services to Spanish-speaking callers.

Erica G., Youth Peer Mentor

Erica G. is a Youth Peer Mentor with two years of experience working for the Family Urgent Response System, where she provides crisis support, stabilization, and advocacy for youth. Drawing from her lived experiences in the foster care system, she brings empathy, understanding, and authenticity to her work. She is passionate about empowering youth and using her voice to advocate for their needs to better support and uplift them.
